

I have an Office 365 Home subscription but want to use PowerPivot so I want to exclude Excel from my Office 365 installation and install standalone Excel 2016. Microsoft tell me that the non-commercial version excludes PowerPivot. I get a message: 'The connection you’re trying to open was created with Power Query. when I go to 'Existing Connections' in Power Pivot and try to open the Power Query connection. Although the instructions are similar, it does not work in 2016.
